Annual General Meeting

Free Child Care and food provided!

What is an AGM?

An annual general meeting (commonly abbreviated as AGM, also known as the annual meeting) is a meeting that official bodies, and associations involving the general public, are often required by law (or the constitution, charter, by-laws etc. governing the body) to hold.

Who attends the AGM?

The Board of Directors, members and staff.

Who are members?

Members are the families that pay a $25 membership fee annually. Parents of the children we have in care or parents who attend our Resource Centre or Playgroups must be members.

What happens at an AGM?

It is a great opportunity to see what is happening in our Centre, meet the Board of Directors, staff and other parents.

The members can review the audited statements. Copies of these can be provided by request prior to the AGM.

The members will vote on the new Board of Directors at this time. Currently we have two positions available. If you are interested in joining our Board they are looking for persons interested in providing leadership and direction to NHCS with financial and/or human resources skills.

The Board of Directors meet five times annually and have the opportunity to serve on working committees such as finance, building or advisory.

Please email the Board Chair, Tina Doucet at northernon@hotmail.com or the Executive Director, Jessica Anderson at janderson@nhcs.ca to get more information and the application form.
