Nutritious, Delicious…and Affordable!

We are pleased to offer various food programs to help you and your family make nutritious choices, learn more about healthy eating, make the most of your food budget, and learn new recipes and have fun! We are grateful to the United Way's Healthy Food and Wellness Program for making these programs possible!

In-Centre Food Programs

Everyone has a blast at Healthy Busy Bodies, our interactive playgroup that runs every Thursday from 10:00 am - 12 pm. This popular program gives kids a chance to socialize and play, and learn to cook with their caregivers. We have frequent guest speakers and workshops on everything to do with healthy eating habits from nutrition, to dealing with picky eaters, to smart shopping, and coupons and budgeting, Participants get the chance to try new dishes, make friends, learn new recipes, and take home a grocery store gift card so they can make the recipe again at home.

Outreach Programs

Join us for Kitchen Connections, every Friday morning from 10:00 am - 12 pm at the Woodview Recreation Centre, to learn a new healthy recipe, safe food practices, and to have fun in a supportive and social atmosphere. Make lunch, make friends, and have fun!

We also offer the Collective Kitchens program at our outreach groups in Hermon, Maynooth, Coe Hill and Apsley. Childcare and cooking ingredients are provided, and caregivers get to socialize while preparing a healthy meal that they can then take home for their family's dinner!

We also offer access to an Emergency Food Bank, available to all families in need.
