Food Programs at NHCS

With funding through United Way of Quinte, we offer Collective Kitchens where you bring a casserole dish or other suitable container and we provide the ingredients and recipe and together we create a meal for you to take home. Collective Kitchens are a fun way to learn new recipes and cooking skills. We also offer Dollar Dinners at the Legion, where our community can come together for a meal for a dollar.

Nutrition kits that contain ingredients for a healthy, low cost, easy to prepare meal are distributed through several of our Bancroft playgroups. As well, we have a food table set up that has lots of printed recipes and information available to anyone who is interested!

NHCS also has a small emergency food bank available to families who use our services or other folks in the community who are referred by another agency.
